On the second Sunday of each month, a sunrise universal worship service is held at Cherapa. We begin meditation just before daybreak and listen for first call (the first bird to sing out the beginning of the new day). As the sun begins filtering in through the pine trees, Tsagoi presents the message, and then invites participants to share or ask questions they may have relating to the subject; or speak spiritual truths they may hold. The beginning of the service changes as the time of daybreak changes. During chilly weather we have a roaring fire, both inside and out, (weather permitting) and coffee, hot chocolate and tea to warm ourselves.
Anyone wishing to contribute spiritual music, poems, stories and personal experiences is invited to do so during this hour of sharing. The service is followed by fellowship and a pancake breakfast prepared by Shelby and Tsagoi and anyone else wishing to pitch in.
If you choose to come out Saturday evening, bring potluck, and perhaps there will be a spiritual discussion, music and/or drumming. This event is very open and flexible allowing us to seize the moment and live in the present. All walks of faith are invited as it deals with universal principles of Creator. Please let us know you are coming so that we can be prepared with food and/or beds.
Join us in celebrating the spiritual truths found in the many religions of the world. Spirituality must love diversity. Why else would there be so much of it? For further information on Second Sunday, please contact us.
